HOW TO PUT UP ARCHITRAVES AND SKIRTING BOARDS QUICKLY AND EASILY

Architraves and skirting boards are usually the last element of a home renovation or paint upgrade to be completed. Normally by the end of a big day of renovating, you’re tired, filthy dirty, and doing the last “perfect finishing touches” seems like a huge amount of work to be done right. Unfortunately, doing these final finishing touches is so important to how your finished renovation looks, so there has to be a way to get these finishing touches done quickly and easily. Sika have the solution! Sika Maxtack is the perfect solution to get your skirting boards and architraves up quickly and easily. With its 3 second grab time, all you have to do is apply Sika Maxtack to your piece, and press into the wall for 3 seconds to adhere your skirting board or architrave to the wall. This allows you to quickly finish up your job, and move onto the next item for the day – relaxing! How to apply Sika Maxtack 1. Cut open the top of the cartridge and screw on the nozzle provided. 2. Cut the nozzle at a 45 degree angle above the threaded section of the nozzle – this is so you can reseal your Sika Maxtack Cartridge when you’re done, using our Sika Nozzle 5-Pack product! 3. Place the Sika Maxtack cartridge into a good quality caulking gun and press the trigger to load up the cartridge 4. Apply the Sika Maxtack to the underside (not visible when finished) side of your architrave in a squiggling pattern. Make sure not to go to close to the edge of the skirting board or architrave so that you dont get any excess spilling out. 5. Immediately press into the wall, and count 1, 2, 3. 6. Your skirting board or architrave is attached! Allow the Sika Maxtack to completely cure for 24 hours before painting or vacuuming.
